Shooting in both photojournalistic and classic styles, Louise Michaud has specialized in wedding photography for over twenty years.
Her work has received numerous national, regional, and state awards, including the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Photojournalism Award, two Kodak Gallery Awards, and four Fuji Masterpiece Awards.
Her work has been published in magazines such as Studio Photography & Design, Atlanta Bride, Boston Bride, Southern California Bride, and Elegant Wedding; and has also appeared in books including Award Winning Wedding & Portrait Photography (2001/2002) and Professional Photographers of America Collection (2001).
As an instructor, Louise has been teaching at The Center of Digital Imaging at Boston University since 2005. She has also lectured in Hawaii, Tennessee, Las Vegas, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts on behalf of Professional Photographers of America.
Louise has photographed many notable occasions, including the nuptials of Caterina Bandini (Channel 7, Boston, news anchor) and Daniel Schwinn (founder/president of Avidyne) in 2005, Evelyn Melendez and Jordan Knight (musician, New Kids on the Block) in 2004, and Nicole Stata (founder/president/CEO of Deploy Solutions) and Joey Scotland in1999. She has also photographed the birthday celebrations of H. Crosby Forbes in 2005 and Ray Stata (chairman of Analog Devices and MIT donor) in 2004.
Louise grew up in Salem, Massachusetts, and received her BFA in Visual Design from Southeastern Massachusetts University. She was awarded the Master of Photography Degree in 2002 and the Photographic Craftsmen Degree in 2001, both from Professional Photographers of America. She became a Certified Professional Photographer in 2002.
